Doctor Who: Every Companion Ranked Worst To Best

Doctor Who Companions
BBC

One of the first companions introduced into the new era of the show, Mickey quickly found himself sidelined by his girlfriend Rose in favour of travelling with the Doctor, leaving him behind with the hopes that she would come back, which she did from time to time. When the Doctor did start taking Mickey along for the ride, things weren't much of an improvement, as Mickey became the butt of many jokes whenever the Doctor and Rose were around.

Between the abandonment, ridicule and the constant forgetting of his name, Mickey had a tough time as the Doctor's companion, but this didn't quite overshadow the better qualities he possessed. Fiercely loyal, Mickey would never run away if it meant he would leave Rose in danger, and he would always try his best to aid the Doctor whenever the situation called for it, even if it meant a) embarrassing himself for the entertainment of the Doctor, or b) failing spectacularly. Mickey tried his hardest to be the bad-ass he wanted to be, especially after meeting his parallel earth counterpart, who was indeed a bad-ass.

After Rose was trapped in a parallel dimension, Mickey never gave up the fight against alien monsters. Eventually meeting and marrying Martha Jones, her and Mickey became "freelance" alien fighters, an occupation that appears to be quite popular with former companions of the Doctor.

He had his moments, and besides the derision and occasional feelings of incompetence, most people were glad to have good old Rickey around.

Cameron Morris hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
