Doctor Who: Every NuWho Companion Ranked From Worst To Best

14. Yasmin Khan

Yasmin, like Ryan, is one of the two younger companions of The Thirteenth Doctor, though unlike Ryan she has more authority and control, owing to her training as a police officer. She manages to handle the discovery of aliens in Sheffield with relative ease and settles in to a good groove on board the TARDIS.

Through Yasmin's story, The Doctor and the others travel to Punjab, just before the partition of India and Pakistan, where they witness first-hand the racial strife facing Muslim and Hindu peoples at the time. A later adventure would see Yasmin confront the demons of her past, where the theme of suicide is dealt with.

While not as impactful a companion as some of those who had come before, Yasmin is nevertheless a welcome addition to the TARDIS and a good balance to The Thirteenth Doctor.
