Doctor Who: EVERY Steven Moffat Episode Ranked Worst To Best
37. The Bells Of Saint John

An episode revolving around the power of the internet and its ever-growing control over the human race could have been a thoughtful and timely story about the dangers of technology, especially back in 2013 when The Bells of Saint John first aired.
But frustratingly, Moffat doesn't seem interested in any of that, with a surprisingly barebones story that doesn't really have anything to say.
The mystery surrounding the multiple Claras keeps ticking away and is intriguing enough, but the episode itself is rather forgettable and the spoonheads are underwhelming villains.
Points for the Doctor riding a motorbike up The Shard though, and the great, if slightly wasted, casting of Celia Imrie as the Great Intelligence's puppet.
