Doctor Who: Every Tenth Doctor Episode Ranked From Worst To Best

27. Rise Of The Cybermen/The Age Of Steel

Doctor Who The End of Time
BBC Studios

NuWho's first Cybermen story explores the idea of a parallel world where the Cybermen are created, deviating from their established canon.

The result is a fairly effective story that introduced a great, much chunkier redesign of the iconic villains, while doing some interesting things with our core TARDIS team.

Throw in a deliciously over-the-top performance by the late Roger Lloyd-Pack and a fun side plot involving Mickey and Ricky, and Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel is a fun, if somewhat pedestrian, 90 minutes of Doctor Who.
