Doctor Who: Legend Of The Sea Devils Trailer Breakdown - 13 Things You Must See

This is a really quick shot in the trailer so it's difficult to make out who the non-Sea Devil combatant is without slowing the footage down, but it's definitely Yaz.

There's another shot later on with a close-up of her face, which is presumably taken from the same scene. Again, these shots are quick - so we could be wrong here - but the fight choreography in these brief snatches looks top-notch.

That second shot actually makes it look like Yaz is in grave peril, but with Mandip Gill already confirmed for the centenary special this autumn, it's doubtful she'll die.

Although, that being said, Legend of the Sea Devils was originally intended as the finale of the Chibnall/Whittaker era (it was BBC bosses who requested an extra episode), so a shock character departure isn't completely off the table.

And hey, dying in an epic, one-on-one lightsaber battle against a frickin' Sea Devil? There are far worse ways for companions to go, as Graham and Ryan's laughable "Force ghost" scene with Grace can attest to.
