Doctor Who: Legend Of The Sea Devils Trailer Breakdown - 13 Things You Must See

This is more of a general thing, but it's hard not to think of the Eleventh Doctor episode The Curse of the Black Spot while watching this trailer.

That's a relatively recent episode by Who standards (it aired in 2011, the third episode of Series 6), and the parallels are obvious.

The ship stranded in open water, the companions wearing pirate garb and engaging in sword fights, and even the bluish-green colour of those nodes on the Sea Devils' ship is the exact same colour as The Curse of the Black Spot's Siren.

With Thirteen referencing the Eleventh Doctor's era in Kerblam (the fez) and War of the Sontarans (silencing people with a "shhh!"), what are the odds that she references her previous pirate adventure in some small way?
