Doctor Who: Matt Smith's 10 Greatest Moments

1. The Big Bang-Speech To The Creatures/The Fez

The Big Bang

I recognize I€™ve gone all over the place from seasons 5, 6, and 7 with this article, and I apologize. That being said, the last great moment for Matt Smith listed here is from the season 5 finale, €˜The Big Bang€™. Continuing from the previous episode €˜The Pandorica Opens€™, the great Matt Smith moment appears in his speech of pure power to all the creatures of the universe, as the world is in jeopardy of coming to an end. I€™m a sucker for speeches, always have been and always will be, and on a level of speeches of power, this ranks with George C. Scott€™s from Patton. Such a strength and gusto is put forward with Smith€™s performance in this final episode, showing that within 13 episodes he has fully embraced the role of the Doctor and has settled into it wonderfully. Also, this entire episode Smith wears a fez, and fezzes are in fact unbearably cool, and have lived a life on the internet more powerful than the actual show itself, one of the defining markers of hurrah for Eleven, fully embracing him into the show€™s canon.
