Doctor Who Quiz: Which Doctor Said It?
"Allons-y!"
British sci-fi show Doctor Who started way back in 1963 and ran until the 1980s, when it was eventually cancelled. The property was briefly brought back in 1996 for a one-off movie - intended to kickstart an American reboot - but that return was met with mixed reception. After that, the BBC brought the show back again in 2005 and it has been running ever since.
The titular character - The Doctor - frequently died and 'regenerated' to continue his life. This involved changing face, and actor. With each new actor to portray The Doctor came a new personality and story arc.
Since the revival in 2005, there have been five main actors to play The Doctor. Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and most recently Jodie Whitaker. Generally each actor plays the role for roughly three seasons, with some exceptions, so there's a lot time to get to know each one. There may be a new actor to take on the role soon, but for now we've got 13 seasons worth of 'new' Doctor Who to enjoy.
With the five recent Doctor Who actors in mind, can you match the following quotes to the Doctor who said them?
