Doctor Who Series 8: 10 Confirmed Guest Stars

8. Tom Riley

BBC WorldwideBBC WorldwideWhen the BBC and Starz joined forces to create Torchwood: Miracle Day, other collaborations weren't far behind. Developed by The Dark Knight Trilogy's David S. Goyer, Da Vinci's Demons is a show filmed in Wales and broadcast in the UK on FOX. Much like Doctor Who, the show is based around actual historical events and figures, but does so whilst adding a fantastical twist. A third season has recently been commissioned, and the series stars Tom Riley as Leonardo Da Vinci, the man who personifies the entire renaissance. Thanks to this he should surely feel right at home in an episode written by Mark Gatiss; having previously written six episodes for Doctor Who, all but one were historically based. Although no other information has been officially released, there are those online, specifically those editing his wikipedia entry, who believe his episode to be based around the stories of Robin Hood, with Riley playing the legendary thief himself.
