Doctor Who Series 11 Finale: 3 Ups & 3 Downs From 'The Battle Of Ranskoor Av Kolos'

2. Tim Shaw's Return Raised The Stakes

As I've already said, Tim Shaw's return episode overall felt more like Boom Town than The Stolen Earth, but harnessing the power of the oblivious Ux to continue your demented run of bunging things in stasis as trophies was pretty messed up - especially when he was now stealing entire planets.

As much as Tim Shaw didn't pose a huge threat to The Doctor and co. physically, since he was in quite a broken state after his own DNA bombs almost tore him to pieces, his approach to plunging a proverbial spear through The Doctor's two hearts was enjoyably unforgivable. As much as his two episodes were good, let's hope this is the last we see of old toothy-face.
