Doctor Who Series 13 Starts Filming: 10 Early Predictions For What We'll See

1. The Tenth Doctor

Let's end on a crazily hopeful prediction that almost certainly won't come true, but hey, we can dream, right? And also, this wouldn't be completely out of the blue.

That's because the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctors have been a really prolific pairing in various expanded media stories as of late. Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor - a comic-book series from Titan Comics - saw these two Doctors combine forces in early 2020, and recently, we learned that upcoming console/PC game The Edge Of Reality will also be a Ten and Thirteen mash-up, with David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker both providing full voice acting.

Hell, just a few days ago, another Doctor Who game - the VR-focused adventure The Edge Of Time, which is a Thirteenth Doctor story at its core - was updated to include the Tenth Doctor's TARDIS.

We won't go as far as saying that all this love for Ten and Thirteen is "building" to something, but the continued emphasis that the BBC is placing on these two Doctors could be a sign that something huge is in the works.

Again, it's crazily hopeful, but perhaps a single episode with the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctors is possible. Maybe Chibbs could even throw in Captain Jack, too? Sign us up!

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
