Doctor Who Series 2 Cast: Where Are They Now?
9. Anthony Head
When the Doctor reunited with Sarah Jane Smith to battle an infestation of Krillitanes at a London school, he discovered that their leader had taken the form of headmaster Mr. Finch, played by British acting icon Anthony Head.
At the turn of the century, Head rose to prominence as the well-spoken mentor Rupert Giles in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series. Considering he was already used to a monster-of-the-week format, it’s not surprising that Doctor Who would eventually come calling!
He remained in the Whoniverse after his single episode had aired, voicing the villain Baltazar in the animated serial The Infinite Quest, and narrating series three and four of Doctor Who Confidential.
Elsewhere, he's had a prolific career in some huge TV shows and movies. In 2018, he voiced Alfred Pennyworth in the animated flick Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and in 2013, he played the centaur Chiron in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, taking over from Pierce Brosnan.
But his greatest post-Who role has to be the smarmy West Ham owner Rupert Mannion in Ted Lasso, a part in which he was fabulously hateable.
