10. The Hype of the Team
If there is a need for one more reason why we are so excited for the arrival of series 7 then that falls squarely on the soundbites from the cast and crew over the last few weeks. These have come in the form of interviews, Twitter comments and press conferences, but they all share one purpose to make you want September 1st to arrive as soon as possible. In case you missed them, here is a selection of those that really leave us gibbering with anticipation. "The biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we've ever made" Steven Moffat " is going to be... bigger and madder than ever. It'll be worth the wait. Promise. batch of episodes, sealing off the story of the Doctor and the Ponds, is epic, ambitious and ever so slightly crazy. Chris Chibnall "I think weve got one of our strongest seasons yet coming up. I really do. We go into the 50th year all guns blazing." Matt Smith "We went quite 'arc' last time and were going stand-alone this time around. But that doesnt mean that there arent those things creeping in." Steven Moffat "Theres a big Dalek story opening the new series which is absolutely brilliant and any expectations youve got, double them, its that good. Its so, so, so, so brilliant." Tom MacRae "I literally couldnt read it without crying... I couldnt have asked for a better exit. I dont think itll be what people expect." Karen Gillan on her final episode. "Having a new companion is a bigger change than a new Doctor. brings out a very different side to Matt ." Steven Moffat Series 7 of Doctor Who airs on BBC1 at 7:20pm on Saturday 1st September.
