Doctor Who Series 9: 10 Things To Expect From Moffat's Last Series

7. The Structure Of Series 10 Will Differ To Series 9

€œI was very happy to get rid of two-parters when I did, and very happy to bring them back. Something else will happen .€
Expect something more akin to the RTD era; a mix of single episodes and two parters. Series Nine was refreshing for its ability to flesh out stories so expect multi-part episodes to be a staple of Moffat's final series. And if Moffat decides not to write the 2017 Christmas special - assuming there is one - then perhaps we might get another three-episode story arc like Series Nine's Face The Raven - Hell Bent or Series Three's Utopia - Last Of The Timelords to send off the Moffat era. But what that structure will look like remains a mystery. A feature length opener - particularly if the companion is not introduced in the 2016 Christmas special, followed by a mix of stories - maybe even a mid-series three-parter? It kind of depends on the budget but if given that the BBC is saving money this year, perhaps we're in store for some big movie-style adventures.
