Doctor Who Series 9: Everything We Already Know So Far

2. The Doctor And Clara

The relationship of The Doctor and Clara was a fractured one at times last year, as she struggled to deal with having a new man in the TARDIS and a new man in her 'normal' life as well. They were figuring each other out, and at various points it seemed as though it really would be the end of the Impossible Girl's journey. Thankfully (or not, depending how you view Clara), she is back for series 9, and the dynamic between her and The Doctor should be better this time around. After the tragic end to the love story of her and Danny Pink, Clara and The Doctor are closer and that's set to continue to develop this year. As Coleman said at Comic-Con: "They€™re very much a team. They are very united in the TARDIS, eating up time and space with reckless abandon.€ It seems as though the pair will be going on some pretty great adventures this time around, with less focus on the personal, earthbound drama Clara is attempting to put behind her, and a stronger relationship between The Doctor and his companion means a stronger show all-round. The only question is how much longer after this year we'll get with Coleman, as the assumption is she won't return for series 10, and how that will play out as this series approaches its end.
