11. Killing Amy Pond
Episode: The Girl Who Waited The death award typically goes to Rory or Clara when it comes to Doctor Who, but Amy Pond was also a victim of the Doctor's carelessness and lies. After a future timeline version of Amy agrees to "blow time apart" for Rory, she demands that both her and present day Amy are brought onto the TARDIS to be rescued. Knowing that would induce a time paradox and thus couldn't happen, the 11th Doctor does his best 11th Doctor impression after Rory's inquiry. Opening with the joke, "I don't know, it's your marriage," Eleven rambles on about tinkering with the reality compensators, doomsday pumps, and the karaoke bar. Eventually he states that the TARDIS could sustain the paradox. It's later revealed that this was a lie to get them back to the TARDIS as quickly as possible. But it's when the Doctor rushes to the door to lock out the older Amy, is where it really gets interesting. With Rory caught off guard and furious that the Doctor would do this, Eleven takes Rory's hand and places it on the lock, forcing him to choose which Amy they save (or which one they kill).
