Doctor Who: The Doctor's 13 Darkest Moments

7. Ten Ignores His No-Guns Policy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_N5U73tFdbI Episode: The Doctor's Daughter The Doctor rarely acknowledges his Gallifreyan family, but in this particular episode, he's forced to remember what it's like to be a Time Lord father. Unfortunately, the Tenth Doctor must also remember what it's like to lose his family. After finally uniting the human soldiers and the Hath, the Doctor watches his engineered clone of a daughter take a bullet for him. With the amount of resistance Ten initially shows to his daughter Jenny, his eventual acceptance and her death set up one of the darkest moments of series 4. Known for being practically allergic to firearms, the Doctor picks up General Cobb's gun and takes aim at his head. We'll never know whether Ten was seriously contemplating shooting Cobb, or simply just attempting to scare the man, but we get a good taste of what a ticked off Doctor looks like here.
