Doctor Who: Village Of The Angels Review - 8 Ups & 4 Downs

11. DOWN - Another Rushed Resolution

Doctor Who Flux Village of the Angels

Another week, another rushed resolution to the arbitrary cliffhanger.

Here we see the holes in the serialised format of the show start to appear. With each episode running directly into the next, the show needs to find a convenient way to string one plot into the next and quickly resolve said connection. It’s a problem that Classic Who suffered from a lot, with companions getting captured or cornered multiple times per serial.

This week, The Doctor gets rid of her little Angel infestation by… turning the TARDIS on and off again. Was the scene tense? Yes. Was it also completely pointless? You bet.
