Doctor Who: What Your Favourite Companion Says About You

2. Sarah Jane Smith

The Companion: Sarah Jane Smith IS the companion's companion. For a swathe of men in their early to mid forties she will always be the standard by which all other companions before and after are judged. Funny, loyal, and willing to wear Andy Pandy overalls for absolutely no reason whatsoever, Sarah Jane was the embodiment of the best a companion could be. It is however worth noting that she is almost exclusively remembered as Tom Baker's Sarah Jane (Fun, Frivolity, and Farrah hair) as opposed to Jon Pertwee's Sarah Jane (strident career woman with a rather severe bob). Notable Achievement: There are, as touched on a moment ago, at least three distinct versions of Sarah Jane. There are the Sarah Jane who traveled with Jon Pertwee, the one who traveled with Tom Baker, and the modern day one from the Sarah Jane Adventures. This is just begging for someone to write The Three Sarah Janes fanfic. What Liking Her Best Says About You: Statistically speaking you're either a middle aged man with fond memories from the seventies or an under twenty with fond memories of the Sarah Jane adventures. You admire bravery and value most a friend that is always up for adventure and always makes you smile when they're around.
