Doctor Who: Why Peter Davison's Fifth Doctor Is Underated

Heroic

thth The Fifth Doctor proved to be trusting and loyal to his companions, despite his impatience and grumpiness. He cared for those around him. Just like the circumstance trying to get Adric back, he fought as hard as he could, but knew at the end, there was no way of saving him. The fact he was willing to give up his life in order to save someone else who he barely knew, showed he was not selfish either. If not giving up a life to save someone is not heroic enough, then there is something even this writer must be missing out on. The Fifth Doctor's swansong, The Caves of Androzani, was voted the best story ever in Doctor Who in Doctor Who Magazine issue 413.
