Dreamcasting The Watchmen TV Show

6. Scott Glenn - Nite Owl I

Benedict Cumberbatch Dr Manhattan
Netflix/DC Comics

Scott Glenn is the exact type of actor that is needed to play a superhero who has been in retirement for years. His age and decline are obvious, but so is the toughness underneath the veneer of being a grandfather. His experience as Stick in Daredevil might lend itself to this, and he is no stranger to similar roles in his expansive filmography.

While Hollis Mason, the first Nite Owl, did not receive a lot of screen time in the theatrical cut of the film, he was given a chance to show off his skills as a costumed adventurer in later cuts. If the showrunners want to make the most of their material, then they ought to put emphasis on the history behind the Minutemen, and for that, they need a veteran actor.

Following Glenn's departure in The Defenders, it appears that his career with Marvel is over. He wouldn't be the first actor to trade to DC or vice versa, so he ought to consider making the jump.

I wrote two books and a few articles. They're probably okay.
