3. The Lame RuPaul Skit

Every year the Emmy pads out its already excessive run-time with a few half-baked comedy skits that don't really work.

This year saw RuPaul dressed up to resemble an Emmy award as he was interviewed by host Stephen Colbert. Colbert asked him, "Do you like Oscar?", to which he replied, "He’s cute...We actually dated for a little while. I had to break it off, I just couldn’t date a man who’s naked all the time holding a sword."

It was a potentially funny idea, but went for the lowest-common denominator laughs and so effectively felt like a waste of time that could've been better spent not playing Emmy winners off the stage half-way through their heartfelt speeches.
