Emmys 2017 Nominations: 10 Most Outrageous Snubs

1. Ed Harris - Westworld

American Gods Emmys 2

It's sort of a funny little quirk, because Westworld was actually tremendously well-rewarded in terms of Emmy nominations. In total, it received 22 nods, tying Saturday Night Live for the most and doing incredibly well for a genre show.

But despite the Emmys showing a great deal of love for the show as a whole, they've somehow passed over what is probably the most intriguing performance in Westworld. Which is...bizarre. What is this show without the mysterious Man in Black, after all?

He's a riddle wrapped in an enigma, and his unclear motivations throughout the show were a driving force in a series arc that was often purposefully cyclical and repetitive.

And also, in case you forgot, it's Ed Harris. He could stand in front of a blank wall and just stare and it would be captivating. Interestingly enough, there was no love for Jimmi Simpson either, although Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Hopkins, and Evan Rachel Wood all received nods.

What shows do you think deserved Emmy nods this year? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
