Emmys 2022: 5 Ups & 7 Downs

6. Rhea Seehorn Loses Out On Best Supporting Actress

Better Call Saul Kim

It seemed like a sure thing going into the ceremony, but Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn failed to scoop the Outstanding Supporting Actress (Drama) Emmy, losing out to Ozark's Julia Garner instead.

And to be clear, this isn't a shade against Garner at all, who certainly gave a remarkable and awards-worthy performance in the role, yet for many this felt like the year for the overdue Seehorn to finally grab her gold.

Though she'll have another chance next year due to the show's final season split, the momentum was at a fever pitch right now with Better Call Saul wrapping up so recently. It simply felt like time to give Seehorn her due - especially with this being Garner's third Emmy win for her work on Ozark.
