6. Beef Gets The Limited Series Love

Alongside The Bear and Succession, the other major winner of the night was Netflix's terrific black comedy series Beef, which cleaned up in the nebulous "Limited or Anthology Series or Movie" categories.

The show won Best Anthology/Limited Series, Best Lead Actor (Steven Yeun), Best Actress (Ali Wong), Best Directing, and Best Writing, and given that Beef was basically leagues ahead of everything else in these categories not called Fleishman Is in Trouble, it was certainly a well-deserved spate of awards.

In a year marked by numerous disappointments from Netflix, this was in many respects their gemstone project that came totally out of nowhere, and thankfully managed to sustain its buzz long enough to make it to the Emmy podium.
