Emmys 2024 Review: 9 Ups & 7 Downs
1. Tina Fey & Amy Poehler's Weekend Update Reunion
Without question the best reunion of the night saw Tina Fey and Amy Poehler get together once again for a reprise of their stint chairing the Weekend Update skit from Saturday Night Live while presenting the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) award.
The duo made some fun cracks about the nominated projects - including calling The Oscars "the only show that's longer than when they air Titanic with commercials on TBS" - and also poked fun at Fey's new big-screen adaptation of her Mean Girls musical.
They may have only graced our screens for a whole two minutes, but their self-deprecating charm and easy chemistry served as a welcome reminder of just how great they were as hosts of the Golden Globes from 2013 to 2015.
