Lana readily emits the energy required for this, as she is a brilliantly funny character but also an incredibly good spy. Her position in the series feels more like a deuteragonist than supporting, and that gives her a distinct edge.

She is introduced to be the romantic foil to Archer, as their previous relationship is clear and shown to be a sticking point for the title character. However, although this romantic through-line continues, she is so much more than a romantic interest. Lana has goals and aspirations, and she works incredibly hard in her job to achieve them and be the best.

This hard-working nature is juxtaposed by an extreme sense of comedy, as her severity and seriousness contrasts the times that she cracks jokes and mocks other team members.

Finally, her character grows so much, especially after the birth of her daughter Abbiejean Kane-Archer. Seeing where she started and where she is now, which is so different yet authentic to the character is the main reason why she is so high on the list.
