Every Arrowverse Season Ranked From Worst To Best

The Flash had the tall task of following its incredibly strong first season with something that was capable of proving that the show that was applauded for being 'The CW's biggest hit ever' wasn't just a one-hit wonder. Thankfully, it succeeded in doing so, for the most part.

Much of the formula is the same as its predecessor, as a violent speedster from the great unknown shows up to terrorize Central City, allowing the Scarlet Speedster to learn more about the capabilities of the world around him. This time, the speedster was Zoom, the 'great unknown' was Earth-2 and the vital new information was the existence of the multiverse.

While it couldn't ultimately live up to the standard set by Season 1, it did prove to be a solid, if somewhat repetitive, offering that was vital to the show's overarching narrative. It wasn't afraid to take risks and thrived on the use of Earth-2 doppelgängers of some of our favourite characters. But its greatest strength lay in its Big Bad, as Zoom was nothing short of diabolical, proving to be a worthy successor to the first season's Reverse-Flash.
