Bitter and brutal, the beginning of Season 3 picks up where the Web-Series 'The Resistance' leaves off, with humanity subjected to the heavy-handed, sadistic rule of the Cylons on New Caprica. The Galactica, Pegasus and rest of the civilian fleet are hidden nearby, attempting to finalise a plan that would reunite humanity and free the colonists from the grip of their enemy.

The resulting conflict would be one of the most devastatingly effective visual space-battle sequences ever put to a screen. Throughout the entire history of Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate or any other, no single space-battle sequence can even come close to the grandeur of the Battle of New Caprica. While many a fan would go on to question Lee Adama's tactics in the final charge of Pegasus, none can deny how stirring the sacrifice is to watch.

Once again on the run, humanity has to navigate the dangers of space, their own loathing for one another and the mystical strings that seem to pull them hither and tither across the galaxy. With hope seemingly lost, they would eventually come to the Temple on the Algae planet and then on to the Ionian Nebula, where revelations about the Final Five Cylons would await them.
