Every Big Mouth Main Character Ranked
5. Nick Birch
Nick is the second main character of the show, voice by Nick Kroll. He initially feels insecure as his best friend Andrew seems to be ahead of him in starting puberty. When Nick finally does begin puberty it is with a faltering start, and he is assigned the tired and worn out Rick as his hormone monster. It is a common pubescent fear, wondering if you will ever catch up with your friends or if you will be left behind.
Nick is routinely embarrassed by his overly affectionate and compassionate parents. In one episode he is unceremoniously pantsed in front of everyone, exposing his tiny penis. In an effort to support his son, his father voluntarily takes his own pants down, furthering Nick’s embarrassment.
Nick has a futuristic alter ego known as Nick Starr; a potential future version of him that has rejected all human contact and now has a simulated best friend: a robot version of Andrew. Nick essentially serves as the “everyman” character in the show, and is the entry point into the show for the viewers.
