Every Dragon Ball Z Saga Ranked From Worst To Best

8. Fusion

Taking everything that made the Majin Buu saga great and trimming all the fat off of Buu - both figuratively and literally - DBZ upped the ante with the Fusion saga. The fusion saga gave DBZ fans the iconic dance and pose, still done in public by hardcore fans, even by pro-wrestlers, Sheamus and Cesaro.

With Goten and Trunks fusing together to form Gotenks, the saga had the intrigue of another villain possibly being defeated by someone else other than Goku. Gotenks even had the power to reach super saiyan 3. Also getting a substantial push was Gohan, coming in with his ultimate form, which had a quiet dominance about it, not needing the aesthetic boost that the super saiyan form gives.

With Buu absorbing both Ultimate Gohan and Gotenks though, it again falls upon the shoulders of Goku and Vegeta, this time fusing together to become Vegito.

Within one saga, the series introduced three new legitimate threats to its main villain. Sadly though these efforts all end in defeat with Vegeta and Goku still getting absorbed, spending the last few episode in the body of Buu.

After causing enough havoc with Buu's insides, the fun-sized heroes get out of the villain's body, just in time for him to begin the final transformation, and take the series on its last ride.
