Every HBO Series Of 2016 - Ranked Worst To Best
12. High Maintenance
High Maintenance started life as a comedy show on Vimeo, before HBO decided to commission a full series of it. The show follows a nameless pot dealer around Brooklyn while he encounters random, wacky clients and they discuss life and stuff.
Hign Maintenance is aiming fairly low with its premise, which is the lead encountering colourful new characters every week. It’s neither must see viewing nor a waste of time; it’s just kind of there. To be fair there are some interesting characters - including Dan Stevens playing a cross-dressing screenwriter – and it’s an easy watch, but the show ultimately feels like schedule filler than a compelling series in its own way.
It's a got a loyal fanbase regardless, and a second season is coming in 2017.
