7. Silicon Valley: Season Three
In terms of plot Silicon Valley is stuck in a rut: things happen that threaten the company, then at the last minute the nerds devise a solution to fix everything and it all goes back to normal. It’s an annoying story convention, but thankfully the laughter it continues to generate more than make-up for minor details like story.
T.J. Miller is still the breakout star, but the rest of the cast play off each other so well it’s hard to imagine Silicon Valley working without the ensemble. Creator Mike Judge is also content to sit back and let them work away, while also keeping the plot moving forwards.
The show might need to adjust the formula for future seasons since it’s becoming a bit predictable, but the laughs and heart are still there.
