The aquatic dinosaur kaiju Titanosaurus makes his first on-screen appearance since 1975’s Terror of Mechagodzilla. In the film, Titanosaurus is depicted with formidable strength, able to pick up Godzilla in his jaws and throw him. He is also able to use his large fins like fans to create forceful wins that Titanosaurus uses to tear through Tokyo.

Similarly to Anguirus, Titanosaurus only makes a brief appearance in the teaser trailer for Godzilla Singular Point. While the other kaiju are all shown to have viscous, extenuated representations of their classic designs, Titanosaurus actually appears to look sleeker than his Toho counterpart. The rough, rocky textured skin has been replaced with smooth leathery skin, something that makes sense for the aquatic kaiju as this would make him far more streamline. His arms have been replaced with large fins, further enhancing the aquatic features of Titanosaurus’ design.

Titanosaurus also gains additional movement here, due to being animated as opposed to being a man in a large suit. Instead of being locked in awkward upright position, Titanosaurus is seen leaping from the water over a small ship. Seeing him next to the ship gives the impression that, unlike Rodan, Titanosaurus will actually be larger than his Toho counterpart.

Once again, like with Godzilla and Rodan, the allusion of the red mist is seen again. However, in Titanosaurus’ case, instead of mist it is the water from the spray of his jump being a light reddish colour in contrast to the deep blue water seen under the ship.
