Every Love, Death & Robots Episode Ranked
31. Ice Age
The premise here is simple: Topher Grace and Mary Elizabeth-Winstead play a couple who move into a new apartment, where they find their refrigerator is home to a microscopic and rapidly evolving world not unlike our own.
As brilliant an experiment as this could have been, though, Ice Age offers very little outside of its "this is where we came from and how insignificant we really are" messaging, which is executed with muted emotions and flat characters who react to their discovery with off-putting indifference.
The worldbuilding of the Fridge World is briefly fun to see play-out, but it loses its grip remarkably fast.
