Every Netflix Marvel Villain Ranked Worst To Best

12. Elektra Natchios (The Defenders)

Elektra Natchios, played by Elodie Young, was a welcome addition to Daredevil's second season, expanding Netflix's line-up of refreshingly kickass female characters. Her second outing in the crossover series, The Defenders, was thus all the more tragic as we rapidly saw a fan-favourite turned into little more than a robot.

Elektra's death (pre-resurrection) was ironically poetic as it marked the point in which character development was completely thrown out the window. After being resurrected by The Hand, Elektra was devoid of emotion - trained to become the formidable Black Sky. Elektra was always a force to be reckoned with but the fun of watching such a feisty character is lost when her only motivation is, 'because I was told to.'

The only element of Elektra that survived the resurrection was her ability to fight, which definitely contributes to her ranking on this list. Even without a villainous motivation, Elektra's fight scenes far outrank any of the previously mentioned MCU Netflix villains.

Watching Elektra so determined to kill Matt Murdock felt like watching a version of the character from an alternate universe. Characters can certainly change and develop but Elektra's villainous turn was something that no one asked for - no matter how happy we were to see her on our screens again.
