Every Netflix Marvel Villain Ranked Worst To Best

13. Willis Stryker/Diamondback (Luke Cage Season 1)

Willis Stryker, known by his alias of Diamondback, came as a bit of a downgrade after the premature death of Cornell Stokes - our villain for the first half of Luke Cage's first season. Played by Erik LaRay Harvey, Diamondback envied his half-brother, Luke, a clear favourite of their father. After spending years apart, Diamondback worked his way up in the criminal underworld before seeking revenge.

Unfortunately, Diamondback lacked the charisma of his predecessor, Cornell. It's not unusual for a villain to have tunnel vision with the death of our hero being their only goal, but Diamondback felt distant - too hidden behind his tech.

However violent, Diamondback's ingenuity can't be faulted. Cage is characterised by his bulletproof skin but this didn't stop his revenge seeking half-brother. The 'Judas Bullet' very nearly saw an end to Cage and for a tense couple of episodes, you couldn't be blamed for wondering how Cage was going to see this one through (although of course he did).

The lowest-ranking of Luke Cage's villains, Diamondback's tech made him feel too much like a superhero. In what is supposed to be a grittier expansion of the MCU, he felt out of place.
