Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best
9. Power Rangers Mystic Force
Sci-Fi is an essential staple of Power Rangers. It is present in every version of the show, even those that aren't based in science fiction settings. This is precisely what made Mystic Force so impressive, as it switched this up, and focussed on magic and fantasy instead, adding a fresh spin to the formula and giving the Rangers a whole new look.
Alongside the new themes and visuals came a really interesting story approach, with far more scope for unique episodes thanks to the magical setting. The Rangers were able to experience different things in Mystic Force such as learning spells, fighting Vampires and dealing with the Underworld.
However, one criticism that has to be made was the all too heavy focus on the Red Ranger. While the property had always been biased towards the Ranger in Red, they typically gave all the others a great spotlight. But, in Mystic Force this wasn't the case, as the show went a little overboard in their attention to this figure.
Still, regardless of this, Mystic Force easily gets points for creativity and taking the risk of completely switching not just the concept, but the genre. Plus Edna Mode was wrong when she said "No capes!", cause they look awesome here.
