Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Power Rangers Time Force
In Space and Lost Galaxy both started to go down a different road with the Rangers, making their narratives and tones darker than before. This is something that Time Force continued, as it's often considered to be one of the darkest seasons in the show's history. The narrative featured death, implied racism and characters that were far more morally grey. This made it an ambitious and risky venture, but thankfully, one that paid off.
As the title might suggest, Time Force saw the new Rangers travel back in time from the year 3000 to the 21st century. They did this in order to stop an evil criminal named Ransik and his gang of mutants from altering the course of history and destroying the future. It was practically the Power Ranger's version of Tenet.
This fascinating direction was full of really mature storytelling, such as the infamous death of a Ranger in the beginnings of the season. Despite these harsher elements, the show still maintained the classic Power Rangers fun, with some goofy characters and a generally bright tone that made watching it a blast.
It was a fascinating direction for the series in regards to the concept, aesthetic and vibe.
