Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best
18. Power Rangers Operation Overdrive
Operation Overdrive marked the 15th anniversary of the Power Rangers, and really should have been a great send-up to the franchise. Instead, it ended up being a complete rehash and failed attempt to remind viewers about the show's glory days.
Bland is the main word that can be used to describe this series, as it truly did nothing to stand out on its own. Plus several notable absences - such as fewer monsters and no notable appearances from previous cast members - stood out like a sore thumb. It was even one of the only anniversary seasons that didn't feature Jason David Frank returning as Tommy. This is an excellent indicator of the lack of flair that the series brought.
Overall, Operation Overdrive was received negatively by viewers and critics alike. With the weak plot, uninspired visuals and incredibly dull leading cast, it is hard to argue against that.
This should have been a real high point for the property, but instead, it merely repeated classic formulas and aesthetics, making it look like one of the laziest attempts to incarnate the Power Rangers.
