Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best

16. Power Rangers Ninja Steel

Legendary Battle Power Rangers
Saban Entertainment

By the point that Ninja Steel came along in 2017, the concept of ninja inspired Rangers was hardly a fresh direction, and this was reflected in the shows mundanity. There was brilliance bubbling at the surface of this series, but it never quite found a way to unleash itself. However, it was a significant bump up in quality from the previous entries.

Ninja Steel gets some points for trying new ideas - like introducing a musician Ranger - and overall attempting to feel like an authentic Power Rangers experience. However, the concept was ultimately uninspired, and the new look for the characters felt out of place.

The show had a rather fun line-up, with Peter Sudarso as Preston (The Blue Ranger) being a particularly enjoyable and quirky addition to the team. However, that same fun flair wasn't as clear in the plot and general design, as everything came together perfectly fine, but was lacking any nuance or charm to make it stand out.

Overall, this incarnation of the Rangers was inoffensive and decent, but in the bombastic and over-the-top land of the monster fighting team, that's a rather large sin.
