Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best
12. Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue
This one was a bit of a sleeper hit, as the series was originally received with complete derision amongst fans and critics, but with time, audiences began to see the bright sides to the show. It's not perfect, but it did introduce a tonne of firsts for the franchise, many of which would become staples in the property from then on.
Firstly, all of the Rangers were adults with respectable careers before joining the monster fighting group. Their jobs even influenced their colours, such as the Red Ranger being a former firefighter. Losing the "teenagers with attitude" was disappointing, but it opened up a whole new avenue for storytelling.
Additionally, it's the first series to have human-made Zords, with no mystical origin - something that would appear again in later seasons. It is also the only series to feature a completely original Power Ranger with no Super Sentai counterpart, in the form of the Titanium Ranger. Overall this proves the level of ambition that this show had.
Finally, the series deserves credit for the creative costumes. The designs' simplicity, paired with the unique patterns, definitely made these suits stand out as unique and fun, with a great streamlined look.
