Every Rowan Atkinson Film & TV Project Ranked From Worst To Best

30. Huan Le Xi Ju Ren

Blackadder Series 2
Fanya Shengshi Media and Culture Industry Investment

Translating to Top Funny Comedian, Huan Le Xi Ju Ren was a spin-off theatrical release following the success of a Chinese variety show of the same name.

The series itself features a talent show style competition between several prominent comedians from the country, whereas the movie takes a different path, a scripted comedy as the cast travel to Macau, a resort city with a gambling industry seven times larger than Las Vegas.

The 2017 picture features an inexplicable Mr. Bean cameo, alongside an equally bizarre appearance from former heavyweight boxing champion and one-time Mike Tyson appetiser, Evander Holyfield.

Bean appears in a few scenes, bumbling through traditional martial arts, dance numbers, and more with the expected levels of gusto, and is even awkwardly photoshopped into promotional material alongside a gloved up Holyfield.

The film has little profile outside of its country of origin, and is therefore an unusually difficult project to rank, but, what critical reception has reached the West is not positive, citing disappointment amongst audiences that the format had changed so much from the popular TV show, and a poorly written story.
