Every Season Of Archer Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Season 5
The fifth season, also known as Archer Vice, was a wild turn for the series and probably kick-started the seasonal format changes of the show going forward.
The fifth season kicks off by literally destroying the old ISIS headquarters and turning the main cast into a band of drug dealing criminals. It's a fun and exciting direction for the show to go down, made all the more interesting by the subplots of Cheryl becoming a country music star, Pam's questionably hilarious cocaine addiction, and the ever-looming presence of FBI Agent Hawley.
Positives? The season takes our infamous spies out their element and puts them somewhere new, and there's amazing cameos from the likes of Christian Slater, Fred Armisen, Lauren Cohan and an entire episode dedicated to the legendary Kenny Loggins.
Negatives? The "who is the father of Lana's baby?" mystery was obvious from the start, some story arcs last multiple episodes and could have been condensed into fewer to make way for more pit-stop story lines.
The fifth season is a litmus test for whether or not we want to see the cast of Archer plunged into different settings, and we do; and season five was trial by error.
