Every Season Of Archer Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Season 2
The second season of Archer signifies when the moment the show found its legs and became what it is now. The sprawling spy-thriller, propped up by a handful of leads and a wonderful supporting cast is perpetuated in the thirteen episodes, each of them unique and arguably exciting in their own way.
Dipping into the season and cherry-picking any episode to watch is a treat; but most noticeable entries in the second season include the Woodhouse origin story, Pam's kidnapping, the Monte Carlo Grand Prix episode and the two-episode arc where Sterling discovers he has breast cancer (not as funny given the subject matter but a great exploration into Sterling's mindset).
The second season also props up recurring threads throughout the show; the birth of cyborg Barry, the Seamus (and Dickie) tattoos, and the introduction of Katya.
Where the second season falls down is mainly the passage of time; there have been so many great seasons after, that Archer's sophomore year, almost gets tucked away and forgotten, but it's great to remember such a seminal season where one-off plots take centre-stage.
