Every Season Of Community Ranked Worst To Best

2. Season Two

Community Chang
Sony Pictures Television

After such an excellent opening, it was safe to say that Community needed to keep the ball rolling by expanding, continuing what fans liked about season one and moving forward. Thankfully, they hit the nail on the head as the second season explored fresh ideas, introduced new characters and developed the leads brilliantly.

With the success of the paintball episode in the first season, it seemed that movie parodies and more outlandish concepts were on Dan Harmon's mind, which led to the second season stepping into wilder territory. Fans got to see the study group play Dungeons & Dragons, pilot a KFC branded fake spaceship, battle zombies, and way more.

This season began a new bombastic direction for Greendale but also placed a lot of focus on character. For example, some truly emotional and heartbreaking moments helped you to see deeper into the cast, with one flawless example being Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas.

In the end, it played with the genre, gave viewers plenty of hilarious experiences and managed to jump the shark without ruining the show. Plus, having a two-part paintball episode was genius.
