Every Season Of Community Ranked Worst To Best
3. Season One
The creation of a new sitcom is often wrought with teething problems and a lack of direction. Even classic shows like Parks & Recreation, Scrubs, and It's Always Sunny suffered from not finding their footing right off the bat. But, Community had no such issues, as you knew from the Dean's first words if it was for you.
Meeting the characters in the study group was a delight, and looking back on the first season now is a tonne of fun. While leads like Troy and Britta are strangers compared to who they become later, the chemistry between the group along with the consistently good episodes makes up for it.
There's a lovely simplicity to the show's first outing that makes it a refreshing watch. Although high-concept episodes are a signature of Community, it's fun to look back on the early days and enjoy it for the easy ride it is without the tricks and gimmicks.
Finally, Community's inaugural season had plenty of great episodes, with the first paintball outing still ranking high as quite possibly the best overall. The only reason it falls a little lower is because it was a stepping stone to greater things.
