Based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, the first season of Castlevania was a rare great example of how to do a video game adaptation well.

Only four episodes long, it was nicely animated and told a tight, easily bingeable story, but with scope for further expansion - something that's coming in Season 2, which has eight episodes.
