7. Where Is The Story Going? Geralt And Ciri

Based on the first two short story books (The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny), the first season used the short stories to world build and introduce characters. Those familiar with the books can expect the next season to cover Blood of Elves, the following entry. If you can't wait to know what happens next, time to pick up that book. Blood of Elves is the first novel in the series and is also the first book to have a chronological storyline, meaning the main story, of which the first season sets up, can finally kick in.

But what is the future of the story? Well, let's take a look at the finale of season 1. Geralt has finally sought out the girl in the woods, his destiny, Ciri. Following on from this ending and taking on what we know from the books, evidence suggests that he will take Ciri under his wing to protect and escort her. We could also expect a visit to Kaer Morhen, the home and last bastion of the Witchers, a broken-down fortress used to train and raise them. Perhaps here is where Geralt will take Ciri? Training her with the help of the other famous witchers Vesemir, Coen, Eskel, and Lambert.

A key story in the book, it would be difficult to see the show leaving out this aspect, as it is the first place we really dive into Ciri's ancestry and the source of her powers.
