6. Where Is The Story Going? Yennefer

The last time we see Yennefer, the famous battle of Sodden Hill is left on a knifes edge as she disappears amongst the rubble, after obliterating the approaching Nilfgaard army. One of the central characters of the show, it is difficult to imagine that the battle was the last major part Yennefer was going to play. With the battle coming to its conclusion and the climactic final line "Who is Yennefer" at the end of season 1, it wouldn't be unwise to speculate that Yennefer will return and play a big part in Ciri's future. Especially if the books have anything to say.

Those familiar with the books will remember how important Yennefer becomes, particularly in Ciri's storyline. As Ciri returns with Geralt to Kaer Morhen, he seeks out the help of Triss to help explain and control Ciri's powers. After Triss is incapable of helping, she tells Geralt to seek the help of Yennefer. Anya Chalotra was brilliant as Yennefer and had the die-hards celebrating her performance, not long after they had criticised her casting. Her union with Ciri at Kaer Morhen could prove an excellent watch and would remain faithful to the source material.
